Music: Mr Widget at Muzic House

I’m dancing at Muzic House to the tunes by Mr Widget. This is small club, colorful and intimate, we are standing on a large turn table of sorts, surrounded by large images of Mr Widget himself. At this time, there are not really many people here, but somehow, it doesn’t really matter. The music is fantastic, this DJ sizzles! Come join us for a morning dance at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Braunworth/151/210/175.
Music: Ultraviolet Alter at MiC

I am the MiC, the island of Rome’s museums in Second Life, taking in the Ultrasonne concert by Ultraviolet Alter. There is a large crowd here, we are in a black space sitting on large blue balls, surrounded by golden light rays and smaller pastel colored balls. The music is vibrant, just like the light show itself. Ultraviolet’s music carries one away on electronic waves, her music never disappoints. This is a closing celebration of the widely celebrated art show Naturae by Merlino Mayo. Come join us, this is a great experience: http://slurl.com/secondlife/MiC/120/132/3857. I’m at the Engrama concert at Fride Club & Lounge – Midgard. Engrama plays indie music live in Second Life, this is something you don’t want to miss. Some people are dancing, others are just standing around listening intently, its a great atmosphere here. Head on over, this is the slurl: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Legolas/101/238/1228.
Music: **ORGANICA**

Organica is an outdoor dance place playing psychedelic music. There is a wide range of dances to choose from, all of which are great for this kind of music. When dancing here there is the experience of being in a trance, one has the sense that one does not want it to stop. (I stayed here for quite a while, trying out all the dances). Besides the dance area, there is a place to hang out and just sit and a place for the DJ to play music. Surrounding all this is the work by the talented Jedda Zenovka. Huge, colorful fantasy flowers encapsulated in tree shaped forms stand around the dance floor. This should not be missed, check it out if you haven’t already. Music: Skye Galaxy at Two Fish

I’m at Rose Borchovski’s Two Fish celebrating her fourth rezz-day and listening to Skye Galaxy. This is one of the most packed events I have been to in a while in Second Life. The music is truly breathtaking (I can’t even be bothered by SaveMe Oh’s running commentary). Skye is truly a master, his voice alternating between soft, powerful and, yes, at times bordering on angelic. I find myself so caught up in this sound. Bravo, Rose, for making this happen! Also, see Apmel’s write up on this event at http://apmel.blogspot.com/
Music: ((-HardBeatZ StaTioN-))

If you’re into DrumNBass, this is the place to go. I found ((-HardBeatZ StaTioN-)) accidentally yesterday while looking for another place and I returned today, curious. When I was there yesterday a handful of people were dancing, today its empty, except for the Dj who is sleeping on a black leather couch. This place is located in what seems to be an abandoned subway station, there is an empty, graffiti covered subway car still on the rails. Enormous loudspeakers face the dance floor, two dance poles are in the corner, a few worn leather couches stand off to the side and a noticed a few rats running over my feet. I love the music here, only DrumNBass. This please place has a very underground sort of feel to it. Check it out at http://slurl.com/secondlife/BassLine%20Island/119/20/1013
Music: MUSIC FOR BONES AND BRAIN

I have to write a second blog entry for today. My friend and I are at the live concert by Christine Webster aka Wildo Hofmann, MUSIC FOR BONES AND BRAINS, at E-CNS. This is a live concert that is linked to a performance in Paris. Its hard to describe what is going on here really. I’m sitting in an orange bubble. People around me are sitting in orange bubbles as well and there are other people floating around in air. The sound is sort of experimental, very cool, and totally fitting to the experience. There are bright particles pulsating below us. My friend compared the experience to being a fetus in a womb and I think that is as close as one can get to the truth. There is something so restful about this. The photo above was taken by Nur Moo. Check out Nur Moo’s flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/nurmoo/
