Fashion: BoHo HoBo

I’m at the BoHo HoBo fashion show. This show was so well attended that I couldn’t get in for the first part of it and then the sim crashed and i snuck in. This is very playful and colorful fashion created by the incredibly talented Trill Zapatero. All proceeds go to RAWA (Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan). There is a wonderful atmosphere here, great runway music and the audience is applauding watching the models Lua, Benita, Quinty, Edna and Bluebell (to only mention a few) showing these well-crafted and beautiful designs. Hurry over you might still get a glimpse: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Manhattan%20City/33/64/64.

Fashion: O s a k k i

I’m at the Osakki mainstore at Le Look. I keep coming back here even though I know by now what the store has to offer, somehow I am hoping and wishing that there will be something new. As I enter this place I am immediately enveloped in esthetic pleasure; the layout of the store is both simple and sophisticated. Straight, modern lines in the colors black, brown and beige. A few antique looking armchairs are strategically placed throughout. The dresses, pants and tops on display here are elegant with an edge, the details are astonishing. Each item is truly unique. I love this clothing line and highly recommend a visit! Please check out the store at http://slurl.com/secondlife/LE%20LOOK%20SOUTH/136/55/29

Fashion: Coco, Maitreya and [LeeZu!]

Coco, Maitreya and [LeeZu!] are Second Life fashion brands with their own stores. I found these three places early on in Second Life and I think due to their high quality items, consistent styles and reasonable prizes I kept coming back. While I don’t believe that these fashion brands fall in the same category as Eshi Otawara and Vita’s Boudoir, largely due to a lack of artistic dramatization, they are still fabulous in their own ways. First, the layout of the store Coco is straightforward and its easy to find your way around; a generous, large space, consisting of mostly of white and glass. The brand Coco offers both female and male apparel and the style is rather basic and contemporary, but great to wear. My favorites are the tops, I have several that I keep wearing over and over again. Next, the Maitreya complex consists of four buildings surrounding a square. The architecture here is modern, with straight lines and sometimes circles; grey concrete and glass makes this place feel like an upscale shopping area. Here, the Maitreya brand offers female apparel, male and female shoes, hair, shoes and poses, the style is elegant. I have many shoes from this place, but what I love the most about the Maitreya brand is the hair (don’t get me started). Finally, the [LeeZu!] store is also a modern build, but here the colors grey, black and red dominate, giving the place a warm and inviting feel. The [LeeZu!] brand offers clothing, jewelry and beauty items. The style of the ready wear clothing is hip and playful and I love the variety of clothing available. My favorites, however, are in the exclusive selection, oh, these gowns are so very beautiful, the details are exquisite. Check these stores out at: http://slurl.com/secondlife/COCO%20DESIGNS/107/246/22 (Coco), http://slurl.com/secondlife//178/175/23 (Maitreya), and http://slurl.com/secondlife/To%20The%20Nines/186/150/23 ([LeeZu!]).

Fashion: Eshi Otawara-Shop

It is no secret, Eshi Otawara is one of the best high end fashion designers in Second Life, some would say the best. The design of her store build is plain and straight forward; black walls with framed displays for the clothes, black floor and no roof. This is a no nonsense design that simply serves the purpose of highlighting the beautiful items she creates. In this store, Eshi sells clothing, shoes, make-up and hair. Each item is unlike anything I have seen before in Second Life. A friend of mine said that these creations are more like art than clothing and I have to agree. A dress generally consists of a high collar, tight bodice and an extravagant skirt, made of see-through lace, gems and silk-like fabric. A lavish head piece is usually included. To me, these creations are like flowers and delicate, yet also forceful in their impression. Check this store out if you haven’t already: http://slurl.com/secondlife/blackLiquid/55/64/503.

Fashion: Vita’s Boudoir

There are a handful of truly exquisite high end fashion stores in Second Life and Vita’s Boudoir is one of them. The building itself is marvelous, a modern three floor glass complex, set in space, with plenty of Natsha Lemton’s magical art work swirling around both on the inside and outside. The clothes here are truly extraordinary, in fact, I haven’t seen anything like it since I first discovered Eshi Otawara. A dress usually has a theme, which is represented with feathers, lace, ribbons, flowers and other objects from nature, and is shaped into the most feminine and unique creation. I haven’t seen one item in this store that I did not immediately wanted to purchase and wear. Check out this place when you have a moment, its worth the trip: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Bonaire12/162/130/997
