Maya Paris’ SkellyMer at Burn2

I went to to Burn2 on the opening day and there was so much lag I felt like I was cemented into the ground. I returned today to take a look at Maya Paris’ SkellyMer and it was much better. Maya’s work is cool and playful as usual, I felt like a kid in a candy store! When you arrive click the sign and you will be given a costume, set to midnight and then hop on the Skelly Mermaids for a wild ride. These mermaids are on top of colorful, striped swirly things on the ground. If you click these swirly things, the tentacles, you can also dance. I was not able to activate my music stream for some reason, but I know the music would have been by the talented March Macbain. This work will be here until October 9, so come and take a look before its gone: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Burning%20Man-%20Hualapai/104/33/29. Maya will be showing her work at Nordan Art starting July 14, 2012, please be on the look-out for announcements.

It’s a wonderful piece! The music is on the media stream instead of the music stream, maybe that was the difficulty? Great music, too — go back just to listen!
I tried the media stream too, I couldn’t make it work, but I’ll go back and try again. Maya used the music of March Macbain for another exhibit as well, its really great.
Thanks Flora!
My pleasure, Maya!
